THE BATTLE OF LOGIC AND EMOTIONS!
Men are logical, women are emotional. This will create regular argument and ultimately divorce if you do not know how to handle your differences. Some battles in relationships are plain unnecessary and a pure waste of precious time and energy. Don't tell a man you don't feel like doing what he asks you to do. That simply doesn't make sense to him. Give him one or two points, he will think about it, weigh the pros and cons and give you concession if need be. For instance, don't tell a man you don't feel like saving some money, that's plain stupid! Are you a spend thrift or a waster? Rather tell him, you need to do some budget, plan where the money should go and keep the differences as savings. Don't quiz the hell out of a woman if she doesn't feel like talking. She must be going through some emotional turmoil. Just hold her hands or let her be if you are courting but if married, pull her into your arms and cuddle her, that's all she needs. When she calms down, she will definitely talk to you. To succeed in marriage, you need good books and tapes. A good marriage doesn't drop from the sky, it is hard work. You need to keep upgrading your knowledge and keep adjusting to each other. I'm learning to be logical when talking to hubby and hubby is learning to be emotional when sending me messages. You can't touch your wife's heart by being logical all the time, you won't be romantic and appealing to her. You can't be emotional all the time with a man, your advice and opinion will sound myopic and stupid. There is need for balance. There are times both of you need to be logical or emotional and there are times you swap roles. Read THINGS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE I GOT MARRIED by Gary Chapman. May the good Lord give you understanding. God bless you. Cheers! © Seun Oladele, 2017.
